Finger in the pie
前のブログで Pie in the sky “絵に描いた餅”
をご紹介しましたが、今日はもう一つPieを。
Have a finger in the pie とは “首を突っ込む.手出しする、干渉する” という意味で使われます。
I had to have a finger in the pie, so I could make sure this project would go well.
私はこのプロジェクトが上手く行く為に干渉せざるを得なかった。
